Freelance Videographer for [rugby-based] Social Brand Launch Videos

Videographer is needed in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic freelance videographer based in Amsterdam to capture content for a series of brand launch videos for GeeGee, a revolutionary rugby challenge app on a mission to grow the game and improve participation rates from grassroots level and up. The app provides a digital arena which gamify’s the rugby experience so players can PLAY mini challenge games, EARN GG coins (which will soon be redeemable in store) and LEVLE UP within a global leaderboard.

The purpose of this project is to create engaging videos that showcase the essence of GeeGee and highlight its unique features, while also capturing dynamic B-Roll footage. The content will be used for paid ads (16:9 pre roll) and social organic channels (IG reels, TikTok, YT Shorts)

PROJECT DETAILS:

• Full-day shoot (potentially less) to capture content for brand launch videos and collect B-Roll footage.
• The action will primarily consist of rugby-based shots, including passing, kicking, and other skills.
• B-Roll elements will include action shots as well as shots emphasizing individuals using the app on their phones.
• The launch video segment will entail a series of storyboards that explain what GeeGee is and what it offers to users.
• GeeGee will supply talent (2 kids, 1 teenager or adult) for the shoot.
• Filming locations may include Zaandijk rugby field and possibly a home setting, with details subject to refinement.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Enthusiastic about sports, particularly rugby, with a keen eye for action shots.
• Willing to make impromptu recommendations based on professional judgment and creative vision.
• Able to collaborate effectively with talent and adapt to changing circumstances during the shoot.
• Experience with similar projects and a strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in videography and storytelling.

SCOPE OF WORK:

• Collaborate with GeeGee team to refine shoot details and storyboard concepts.
• Capture high-quality video footage according to storyboard specifications.
• Direct talent and provide guidance to ensure desired shots are achieved.
• Edit and deliver final video assets in a timely manner.

TIMELINE & FUTURE OPPORTUNITIES:

• Ideally, we can plan to shoot this project end of May (ASAP).
• Potential for ongoing collaboration on a monthly or bi-monthly basis to keep content fresh.

EXAMPLES:
I have linked some reference examples of HomeCourts brand videos (a basketball app similar to GeeGee - however we are in Rugby). The references showcase the mixture of action shots/in situ game play and subtle references to people using their phones to film & play on an app.
